Our primary Human Cardiac Fibroblasts (HCF) are obtained from adult heart ventricles. These cells are crucial for maintaining the extracellular matrix and synthesizing growth factors and cytokines in a healthy heart. During pathophysiological states, such as myocardial infarction, cardiac fibrosis, and cardiac hypertrophy, they actively participate in scar formation. HCF provide an invaluable tool for studying these processes in vitro.
