Dendritic Cells

Dendritic cells are specialized immune cells that connect innate and adaptive immune responses by sensing pathogens and initiating antigen-driven immunity. As professional antigen-presenting cells, they express MHC class II and play a central role in T cell activation within lymphoid tissues.

Through pattern recognition receptors, dendritic cells detect danger signals during viral infection and guide cytokine-mediated immune modulation. Because of their unique cross-presentation capacity, they are widely used in research on immunotherapy, immune tolerance, and translational vaccine development.

At PromoCell, we provide culture media designed to support reproducible dendritic cell generation workflows, including monocyte-derived dendritic cell models. Our media formulations enable researchers to establish controlled in vitro systems for studying antigen presentation and immune cell communication, without the variability associated with undefined culture conditions.
