Pericytes are contractile mural cells found along the walls of capillaries and microvessels, where they support vascular stability, regulate blood flow, and promote angiogenesis. Primary human pericytes are widely used in vitro to study vascular biology, endothelial cell interactions, neurovascular function, and signaling pathways involved in health and disease.
