Our Primary Human Osteoblasts (HOB) are sourced from femoral trabecular bone tissue located in the knee or hip joint region. Specific source details can be provided upon request.

Osteoblasts, originating from mesenchymal cells, play a pivotal role in bone formation and remodeling. In vivo, they produce an extracellular matrix rich in collagen type I known as osteoid. Throughout their development, osteoblasts undergo osteogenesis, a maturation process. Once encased within the bone matrix, they cease proliferation and turn into osteocytes.
