Product description

Cell pellet consisting of 1 million cells dissolved in 200 µl RNAlater® for subsequent RNA, DNA or protein analysis.

Note: Cell pellets cannot be revived.

Our primary Normal Human Epidermal Melanocytes (NHEM) are obtained from juvenile foreskin epidermis. These cells, comprising 5-10% of the epidermal population, produce melanin, the pigment responsible for skin, eye, and hair coloration. Melanin defends against UV radiation, shielding both skin cells and underlying tissues.

Our melanocyte pellets are isolated using melanocyte growth medium containing PMA. However, it's important to note that PMA has mitogenic properties. If this may affect your experiments, we recommend that you consider our Normal Human Epidermal Melanocytes M3 (NHEM M3), Cell Pellet in RNAlater for optimal results. These cells are isolated in PMA-free medium, providing a solution to mitigate any potential interference.
