How does PromoCell recommend subculturing chondrocytes, and do you recommend a specific plasticware type or brand?

PromoCell recommends a seeding density of 10,000-20,000 cells/cm² for the culture of human chondrocytes (HCH). The following example calculations are based on a seeding density of 10,000 cells/cm².
 
Example for subculturing
A subconfluent T25 flask typically contains approximately 900,000 cells per flask, corresponding to about 36,000 cells/cm².
Based on a target seeding density of 10,000 cells/cm², this culture can be split into three new T25 flasks or into one T75 flask (→ ~12,000 cells/cm²) or
seeded into one 100 mm petri dish → ~900,000 cells per dish (→ ~9,000-10,000 cells/cm², depending on the exact growth area).
In our QC, chondrocytes are routinely seeded at densities down to 5,000 cells/cm². Even under these conditions, robust growth is observed.
 
Plasticware recommendation
PromoCell does not recommend a specific type or brand of plasticware for culturing human chondrocytes. Standard tissue‑culture‑treated flasks or dishes are suitable.
