Our new media have been specifically designed to meet the evolving requirements of respiratory research. They provide researchers with defined, physiologically relevant, and regulatory-ready conditions to study complex airway biology. Our new BPE-free and xeno-free formulations allow researchers to obtain reliable data across a range of applications, from basic studies to translational research.

Both formulations provide distinct advantages to support airway epithelial research across 2D, 3D, and air-liquid interface (ALI) cultures:

Airway Epithelial Cell Growth Medium 2

  • BPE-free formulation: Supports physiologically relevant airway epithelial morphology and function without the need for small molecules.
  • Enhanced growth rate: Promotes increased population doublings across all three types of airway epithelial cells.
  • Seamless ALI integration: Complements the ALI-Airway Medium for a complete BPE-free system.
  • 3D culture ready: Proven to sustain high TEER values (≥ 500 Ω*cm² for ≥ 14 days) in combination with our BPE-free ALI-airway medium.

Airway Epithelial Cell Growth Medium XF (prf)

  • Xeno-free and physiologically relevant: Ideal for regulatory-compliant applications.
  • Batch-to-batch consistency: Minimizes variability and enhances reproducibility.
  • Regulatory-ready: Provides comparable performance to BPE-containing medium and can be upgraded through our Custom GMP Services.
  • Phenol red-free: Clean formulation without non-functional additives.

These advanced formulations offer researchers reproducible and physiologically relevant cell culture conditions. By doing so, they enable high-quality respiratory research, from basic studies to applications that meet regulatory standards.
