AGK7 is an inactive control and an isomer of AGK2. It is a cell-permeable, selective inhibitor of SIRT2 which is a NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide)-dependent deacetylase (IC₅₀ = 3.5 µM). AGK2 rescues α-synuclein toxicity in α-Syn-H4 cells while AGK7 does not affect α-synuclein aggregation. AGK7 inhibits SIRT3 with an IC₅₀ value greater than 5 µM and inhibits SIRT1 and SIRT2 with an IC₅₀ greater than 50 µM.
